Urge Congress to Protect Wetlands

Thank you for taking action to protect Florida’s wetlands and endangered wildlife. The problematic section was removed from the appropriations bill, which is great news! However, it was slipped into another piece of legislation, which we will be monitoring alongside our conservation partners.

Ocklawaha Restoration Funding

Over 2,000 supporters contacted Governor DeSantis to approve $6.25 million in the 2025/26 state budget to begin restoring the Ocklawaha River by partially breaching the Rodman Dam. 

Kill the Drill Bill (HB 1143) 

Governor DeSantis signed HB 1143 into law on June 26, 2025 to prohibit risky oil and gas drilling near the Apalachicola River and Bay. He received 2,966 messages from FWF supporters to protect this vital ecosystem and the communities that depend on it.
